How to vote:

The Democratic Primary is on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3.

Be sure to make a plan to vote. Do you know where your polling place is? Do you know how you’re getting there? Before work, or after? Or are you voting by mail, instead?

Polls are open from 7am to 8pm on Election Day.

If you are in line to vote when polls close, you can still vote! To find your polling location, CLICK HERE.

The last day to register to vote or to change party enrollment is Saturday, August 24.

Early in-person voting will be available starting August 24.

Early in-person voting usually happens at your Town/City Hall.

Want to vote by mail? Here’s what you need to know:

The last day to submit a paper application to vote by mail is August 26, but waiting until that date creates the possibility of mail delays.

There are several options for returning your ballot. You may return your ballot by:

  • Mailing it back using the envelope provided

  • Hand-delivering your ballot to your local election office

  • Dropping your ballot off at an early voting location during early voting hours

  • Using a ballot drop box.

Ballots cannot be dropped off at a polling place on Election Day.

Use the Secretary of State’s Track My Ballot tool to check the status of your ballot. The tracker will show you the date your ballot was mailed, the date it was returned, and whether your ballot was accepted or rejected.
